Today I will start my blog. Yesterday coincidentally the world celebrated Women's Day. In the news and the written media accolade about successful women were published. The women have come a long way since the days when the suffragettes marched on the roads of London and New York to fight for their right to vote. That was the beginning of the struggle to emancipate women.
Nowadays we find women in almost all professions on this planet, the traditional ones like house wifes, farmers and teachers and nurses to the formerly male dominated professions like engineer and pilot and even soldier. The sky is the limit for them, they even entered the board room of the corporate sector and even countries are ruled and governed by female presidents and prime ministers.
But above all this they are still mothers. And that is one of the most beautiful but also most difficult job in the world. Giving birth is hard and painful work, but every mother will tell you that the pain is forgotten as soon as she sees her baby. I can verify this because I did it 4 times. And then the job of raising the child starts and that is not an easy job. Raising children is the only job in the world that we do without formal training, we just learn from our parents and a lot through trial and error. But the unending love of a mother for her child will help her to intuitively to do the correct thing. No mother will harm her child. Is this statement still true?
This I will ponder about in another posting.
This is enough for today.
This mother is signing off.
